A cyclonic circulation is over the Gujarat region and a low-pressure area has formed over the North Bay of Bengal. The east-west shear zone is also running along latitude 18 degrees north. These weather parameters will enhance the rain activities all along the west coast of the country, from coastal Karnataka to the south coast of Gujarat.
There will be heavy to very heavy rain and shower activities over Mumbai and adjoining areas of Palghar, Dahanu, Raigarh, Thane, and Kalyan until August 5. Rain activities will start reducing from August 6th. Moderate showers with isolated intense spells to continue over Mumbai and suburbs.
Mumbaikars are advised not to go out until unless it is very necessary to avoid the heavy downpour, traffic jams and waterlogging.
