A cyclonic circulation is over North Andaman Sea which may induce a low-pressure area over same region in another 24 to 36 hours. Another cyclonic circulation is persisting over East Central Arabian Sea. A trough is extending from East Central Arabian Sea to Southwest Bay of Bengal across interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. These weather features are responsible for ongoing moderate rain with few heavy spells over South Peninsula.
The low-pressure area which is going to form over North Andaman Sea will intensify subsequently into a depression and deep depression. Therefore, it may further intensify into cyclone Jawad. It will move in westerly direction towards south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coast.
The cyclonic circulation over Arabian sea will persist for another 3 to 4 days. Thus, we expect moderate to heavy rains over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next 2 to 3 days and over Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema for next 3 to 4 days.
Rain activities may intensify over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana between October 15 and 17 in the wake of depression or cyclone which will be travelling from Bay of Bengal to east coast of the country.
