The depression over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Rajasthan is likely to become well-marked low pressure area in the next 12-24 hours. The axis of Monsoon trough is currently passing through Anupgarh, Sawai Madhopur, depression, Rewa, Daltonganj, and Bankura and through the low pressure area over North Bay of Bengal.
In the last 24 hour fairly widespread rain has been recorded over southeast parts of Rajasthan with heavy spells at Chittorgarh, Bhilwada and moderate rain activity over Kota, Mount Abu, Udaipur, Jhalawar. Light rain was observed over Jodhpur, Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur.
This rain activity is likely to continue for next 24 hour over these areas with moderate spells with isolated areas receiving few heavy spells. Few areas in West Rajasthan also may witness light rain spells at some parts.
East Rajasthan has already received excess Monsoon rains with the figure reaching up to 47% surplus rainfall. And the ongoing rainfall activity rain would enhance this number further. Chances of flooding conditions in few areas cannot be ruled out.
But after 24 hours, this rain activity will gradually decrease over the area.
