Morning Cricket fever back in Indian sub-continent as India take on Kiwis

January 18, 2014 3:34 PM |

The morning cricket fever in India will be back from this Sunday onwards as die hard fans will wake up early morning at around 6:30 am to witness cricket in one of the most beautiful nations, the land of Kiwis, New Zealand. The India tour of New Zealand is set to start with the first One-day International at Napier in Northern Island of the country. While people in India will be wrapped in warm clothes and covers, yearning for a hot cup of tea at the start of the match, in New Zealand, fans and players will be experiencing warm weather with temperatures expected to be in early thirties at around 2 pm local time. Winds will be northwesterly during the match and will bring lots of moisture in the air. The first ODI is going to be played at Maclean Park which is basically a one-day venue with square dimensions that allow attacking batsman to score freely especially in the opening overs. There are four covered stands and a large grass bank opposite the Centennial Stand. The wicket tends to slow up throughout the day therefore captains prefer to set targets on this pitch.   Photograph by Chubby Chandru
