Parts of Maharashtra recorded good rains in the last 24 hours including Satara where 33 mm rain was received, Kolhapur 63 mm, Ahmednagar 78 mm, Nanded 95 mm.
More parts of Maharashtra will see more rains starting today until August 8. Today, Madhya Maharashtra will be seeing some rains including the cities of Kolhapur, Solapur, Satara, Sangli, Dhule, Nandurbar, Pune, Nashik, Sangli etc. Marathwada will also see some good rains in the coming two days.
Thereafter, the Vidarbha region will be seeing some good rainfall activities. The possibility of heavy rains in parts cannot be ruled out.
During the second half of this period, i.e. August 6 to 8, rains will travel from east to west, starting from Vidarbha and moving towards Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra. Thus, around August 9, rains will be seen over Madhya Maharashtra and vacate other regions.
These rains are in view of the system which is likely to come up in the Bay of Bengal and will revive Monsoon rains over many parts of the country.
