This season, the state of Rajasthan has performed very well in terms of winter rainfall. All thanks to different weather systems, that kept approaching the region and helped the state to record good rain figures.
The trend of winter rains is not over yet, as a feeble Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is currently lashing rains over different parts of Rajasthan, wherein Bikaner has recorded light rains in the last 24 hours.
Now, with the systems expected to persist for some more time, we expect spread and intensity of rain to increase today and cover major tourist attractions like Jaisalmer and Jodhpur.
Several other places of Northwest Rajasthan such as Ganganagar, Churu, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jhunjhunu and Sikar will also see rains today. However, once the weather systems start moving in east directions, weather will gradually start clearing up, most probably from March 9.
After witnessing dry weather for a day or two, another Western Disturbance around March 11 will start giving rains over the state. Due to the strong nature of this Western Disturbance, we expect intensified rains to occur over most parts of Rajasthan.
