The city of Hyderabad has been witnessing pre-Monsoon showers since the last week. The Telangana capital city has recorded good showers yesterday afternoon as well which continued literally continued for the next two-three hours.
These rain and thundershowers can be attributed to the low pressure area over west-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra and Odisha Coast. In wake of this, humid winds have been reaching Hyderabad, which resulted in the formation of convective clouds over the Biryani city, leading to rain and thundershowers.

Skymet Weather expects this light to moderate showers to continue for the next 24 hours. Thereafter, the intensity of these rains will lessen as the weather system is likely to move north northeastwards. Nevertheless on and off rain activities will continue to please the Hyderabadis.
Hyderabad has already recorded 110.1 mm of rain in the just ten days of the month of June; with these rains the city is expected to surpass its monthly average rainfall of 111.2 mm.

Monsoon normally hits Hyderabad by June 10. However, this year, Monsoon will cover many parts of Telangana including Hyderabad by June 12.
With the influence of these rains and pleasant weather over the city, night temperatures have plunged and are hovering around 20°C. Days have also become comfortable as maximum temperatures are settling in the range of 30°C to 32°C.
