Since last few days, the eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh have been recording light rainfall activities. In fact, the last 24 hours were no different and a few parts of the state continued to observe light to moderate Monsoon showers. However, the remaining parts of the state have not been observing a good amount of rainfall activity.

In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Ujjain recorded moderate rainfall of 28 mm, Guna 16.4 mm, Umaria 4.8 mm, Jabalpur 3 mm and Indore 1.4 mm.

These weather conditions can be attributed to an upper air cyclonic circulation which was seen persisting over Madhya Pradesh region and which has now weakened. Further, a trough is seen extending from Northwest Bay of Bengal up to eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Therefore, due to these weather systems, eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh will continue to settle with light spells of Monsoon showers. Moreover, cloudy sky is likely to persist over the entire state for the next few days.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh is expected to reel under mainly dry and warm weather conditions. Besides, cities such as Siddhi, Seoni, Mandla, Shahpur, and Hoshangabad will continue to observe light rains during the next 24 to 48 hours.

However, after 48 hours, another cyclonic circulation is likely to form over Northwest Bay of Bengal and which will move inwards slowly. Therefore, the intensity of these light showers will gradually increase and with this, rest parts of Madhya Pradesh will also start receiving light to moderate rains and thundershower.
