Maharashtra weather has taken a turn during the past few days resulting in pleasant and comfortable weather conditions. In fact, rain gods have been bestowing some kindness over the residents of Maharashtra. While coastal Maharashtra and Madhya Maharashtra have been receiving light to moderate rain and thundershower activities as well.
According to Skymet Weather, an active Monsoon surge is persisting along the West Coast from North Konkan to Kerala. With this, we may expect the rain intensity to reduce over extreme parts of North Konkan including Mumbai. While South Maharashtra may continue to receive scattered to light rainfall activities. during the next 24 to 48 hours.

However, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada may also continue to experience moderate rain and thundershower activities except for Pune.
Since the span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Harnai recorded 320 mm of rainfall, Ratnagiri 133, Vengurla 64 mm, Dahanu 59 mm, Alibag 42 mm and Mumbai 31 mm, Sholapur 29 mm, Ahmednagar and Malegaon 5 mm.
Meanwhile, Vidarbha is likely to remain dry at over few places. Also, the temperatures are likely to increase over the region of Vidarbha in the next few days. But there few possibilities of light rainfall and thunder activities to occur during the next 24 to 48 hours.

Now, Southwest Monsoon will also make an onset over Mumbai and adjoining areas of Maharashtra in the next few days.
