Puducherry, the Union Territory town which is bounded by Southeastern parts of Tamil Nadu has recorded good rain and thundershowers in the past 24 hours.
Within a span of 24 hours from 08:30 on Sunday, the region recorded moderate intensity rains to the tune of 34 mm. Prior to this weather condition, Puducherry remained almost dry and warm, with day maximums settling near 35 degree mark.

These showers can be attributed to multiple weather features such as a north-south trough which is seen running from South Interior Karnataka up to South Tamil Nadu and another trough that extends from Central Bay of Bengal up to Southwest Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu Coast.

Weathermen at Skymet Weather now expect on and off light rain and thundershower activities to continue over Puducherry for the next 24 to 48 hours. During this period, days will remain warm with maximums up to 33-34 degrees. Whereas morning and nights will be comfortable with minimum temperatures up to 24-26 degrees.
Thereafter, rains will intensify with most parts of the region recording moderate showers from October 25-28. After these rainy spells, again the intensity will lessen but the sky will remain cloudy to partly cloudy and the weather will be warm and comfortable.
