However, the intensity of rains remained more over parts of East Madhya Pradesh and adjoining parts of Chhattisgarh. On the other hand, Monsoon rains remained subdued over West Madhya Pradesh.

As per Skymet Weather, the axis of Monsoon trough has moved further north. In addition to this, a cyclonic circulation now lies over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal and Odisha coast. The upper air trough is also tilting southwestward with height.

Thus, we can expect a short break over the southern and western parts of Madhya Pradesh. However, over the remaining parts of the state, rains are expected to continue with moderate to heavy intensity in some parts.

Moreover, moderate to heavy rains are also expected in some parts of northeast Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh. Extreme South Chhattisgarh may also experience moderate to heavy rains during the next 24 hours.
