As had been forecast by Skymet, during the last 24 hours, northern districts of Rajasthan as well as parts of Delhi and NCR have received light to moderate rains and thundershower activities. While Churu received 12 mm rains, Pilani 3 mm, Rohtak 2 mm, Jaipur 2 mm, and Ajmer recorded 3 mm rains. Most parts of Punjab and Haryana are still running dry.

However, now we expect these rain activities to cover most parts of Punjab and Haryana as well. Today we expect thundershowers to affect Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. Isolated rains are possible during the evening hours over Delhi NCR as well.

These rains and thundershower activities are expected to continue until tomorrow i.e. March 12.

Thereafter, the weather activities will shift towards North. As a matter of fact, the northern districts of Punjab and Haryana will continue to receive rains and thundershowers until March 13.

On March 14, isolated pockets of these areas particularly in North Punjab and North Rajasthan will receive rains. By March 15, the weather will become dry.

Meanwhile, the temperatures will recede for the next two to three days. Particularly, the day temperatures will remain slightly below normal. This will be the last active Western Disturbance which is affecting northern plains in terms of rains and thundershower activities.
