Many parts of Rajasthan have received rain and thundershower activities during the last two days. Isolated rain and hailstorm activities were also observed in parts of the state. We expect scattered rains to continue over northern and northeastern parts of Rajasthan for next 24 hours. The reason for these rains is an induced Cyclonic Circulation over Northwest Rajasthan. Gradually, this system will move away, and weather will become dry in the state by tomorrow. After 24 hours, we expect temperatures to drop due to the commencement of rain and Northwesterly winds.
Another spell of rain is expected to commence on March 2, in the wake of a fresh Western Disturbance which will induce another Cyclonic Circulation over northern parts of Rajasthan. This will give light to moderate rain over northern and northwest parts of Rajasthan particularly Churu, Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Anupgarh, Alwar, Sikar, Bharatpur and Jhunjhunu. The intermittent rains will continue till March 3.
The weather in South Rajasthan particularly Barmer, Jodhpur, Rajasmand, Kota, Bundi, Nagaur will remain dry during this time.
After March 3, the weather system will fade away as the Western Disturbance will move in eastward direction and the induced Cyclonic Circulation will also become insignificant leading to dry weather conditions over entire Rajasthan. Also, after March 3, temperatures are expected to drop due to commencement of Northwesterly winds.
