Pre-Monsoon activities are all set to pick up pace across southern parts of the country during the next two to three days. Bengaluru is no different and is gearing up for rains and thundershowers.

All thanks to the couple of weather systems prevailing over the region. According to Skymet Weather, a trough is seen running from Telangana to Comorin region across Interior Karnataka, with an embedded cyclonic circulation over North Interior Karnataka.

With this, weather conditions have become conducive for rains and thundershowers over Bengaluru on Saturday. True to the characteristics of pre-Monsoon showers, these activities will occur during the late afternoon or evening hours. few places might record thunderstorm along with lightning strikes as well.

These pre-Monsoon activities will be sharp and intense in nature and of short duration, but few places could record some good rains as well.

Moreover, with trough getting more marked, these showers are likely to continue till April 30.

The average monthly rainfall of Bengaluru stands at 41.5 mm and until now, the city has received 25.2 mm of rains. Though, the remaining two days of the month are expected to see rains but it is highly unlikely the city to surpass its monthly average rainfall.
