After witnessing pleasant Saturday, Delhi is all set to witness cool and rainy Sunday. As reiterated by Skymet Meterology Division in India, more spell of rains accompanied with dust storms and thunderstorms are likely to hit the national capital once again.
Delhiites have already been witnessing light showers since early morning along with cool breeze across the city. In wake of this, maximum temperature on Sunday will remain comfortable in mid 30s.
In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, city has recorded 25.7 mm of rain. The weather activity, which took place in the afternoon, did not let the maximum temperature rise more than 39.7°C on Saturday. While, minimum temperature registered significant drop and recorded 20.5°C, seven degrees below normal.
According to Skymet, change in the weather is the result a cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining Uttar Pradesh. The system has triggered dust storm and thunderstorm over the city.
As per the latest forecast, we could except similar activity along with scattered rain on Sunday and Monday morning. However, sun will come up during Monday afternoon that could lead to rise in temperatures but spell of dust storm in evening will again usher relief.
By Tuesday, cyclonic circulation will become less-marked, resulting in increased day temperatures but chances of mild dust storm cannot be ruled out.
Both the systems coupled together are triggering thundershower and dust storms over Delhi and neighbouring states.
Let us have a look at temperatures and rainfall across the Delhi-NCR region on Saturday.
