A strong Western Disturbance that started affecting weather in Jammu & Kashmir since the 3rd of February is presently active over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir region. As predicted earlier by Skymet, intermittent precipitation has accumulated 3 inches of snow in the state. However, highway remained clear and vehicular traffic was not affected as the activity remained confined to hilly regions and precipitation in Srinagar and Qazigund was very less.
