The Western Disturbance is clearing away from the Himalayan region. In wake of this system, North India experienced a fairly wet spell during the last few days. In fact, the plains witnessed the first good spell of rain during this winter season.

Snowfall was witnessed in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir over the weekend.

Now the weather condition has improved and the cyclonic circulation over Punjab is gradually weakening. Isolated places may receive light rainfall activities but most parts of North India will observe dry weather conditions.

We can expect a little rise in temperatures over the hills as well as plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.

Another Western Disturbance is expected to affect Jammu and Kashmir by March 10. By the next day many parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will start receiving good rainfall activities. On March 12, most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and few parts of Uttarakhand will receive good showers. The rain belt will also cover north Rajasthan, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh.
