Kolkata has been receiving pre-Monsoon showers for quite a long time now. So much so that the city has already witnessed a few good spells of Pre-Monsoon showers during the Month of May. In fact, with the presence of Cyclone Mora, weather conditions had become favorable for more Pre-Monsoon showers over the City of Joy.

Now, the Monsoon line has already touched the borderline of West Bengal. However, the Monsoon is likely to advance further and cover the area of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal within the next few days.

As per Skymet Weathermen, a trough line is extending from foothills of Himalayas up to Arunachal Pradesh across North Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
