Weather data demonstrates that Kerala has been recording below average rainfall for the last three years during the Southwest Monsoon. Nearly 10 out of 14 districts in Kerala recorded deficit rain from June to September in 2016. Due to this, the state rainfall deficiency mounted to 34%.
