Some parts of Rajasthan were reeling under hot and dry weather conditions, while there were some districts which were seeing isolated dust storm, rain, hailstorm and thunderstorm activities.

Besides, the mercury was also settling above the normal limits, close to 45 degree mark. However in last 24 hours, some good pre-Monsoon rains have appeared over the city, bringing that much needed relief to the residents.

In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Tuesday, Pilani recorded 13.1 mm of rainfall, Churu 6 mm, Jaipur 3.5 mm and Bundi 2 mm of light showers.

In fact, as of now, Alwar district of Rajasthan is recording heavy showers. Similarly, Sikar and Jaipur districts of Rajasthan are also observing rain with squally winds.

These rain and thundershowers can be attributed to a fresh Western Disturbance that is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. It has induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining parts.

Further, moist winds are prevailing over the region and the temperatures are also very high. As a consequence, convective clouds had formed over parts of Rajasthan, today morning, leading to rain and thundershowers.

Weathermen predict dust storm and thundershower with squally winds over parts of Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Churu, Dausa, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jhunjhunun, Karauli, Nagaur and Sikar on Wednesday.

Weathermen predict weather conditions will remain conducive for these pre-Monsoon showers to continue over most parts of the state during the next 24 hours but with reduced intensity. However, eastern parts will continue to record good showers.
