While the entire country sizzles with heat wave like conditions and sweltering temperature levels, northeast India are enjoying an amazing spell of pre-Monsoon showers. Most states of the region are witnessing good light to moderate spell of rainfall.
In the last 24 hours many parts of the region has witnessed rainfall in varied intensity. This continuous spell of rainfall can be attributed to the presence of cyclonic circulation over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. This system is bringing in the moisture content from Bay of Bengal.

With enough moisture in the air and presence of a cyclonic circulation, rainfall is expected to continue over the region for the time.
This weather system as a cyclonic circulation is likely to oscillate between the region and Bangladesh, giving enough rainfall over both the parts. In fact, Bangladesh has been receiving enough rainfall in the past week.
