The states of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, have been seeing some pre-monsoon rainfall activity for the past couple of days. In fact, three-digit rainfall has also been recorded in a few areas of Tamil Nadu.
Today also, we can expect heavy showers over the state of Tamil Nadu both interior and coastal areas. Other places may remain moderate today. Rains will be seen on May 3, 4, 5 and 6. Today, the spread will be more over Rayalaseema, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
On May 4 and 5, the spread may almost remain the same but the rains will become scattered and moderate. Isolated heavy spells can still be seen over some parts. Seasonal peninsular India trough running through the central parts is quite active. Moist winds off Tamil Nadu's coast are building convergence over the region.
