This Southwest Monsoon, the states of Bihar and Jharkhand witnessed intermittent showers but the intensity of the rains remained on the lower side. The reason can be given to the absence of any major weather system such as a low pressure area or cyclonic circulation.

However, since past a few days, both the states have been recording good rains. The reason could be attributed to the axis of Monsoon trough that is passing through Jharkhand. Also a cyclonic circulation is over the state and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal.
In wake of this, we can expect moderate rains with a few heavy falls over many parts for the next 2 to 3 days. Very heavy showers over one or two places also cannot be ruled out.
In the similar manner, the state of Bihar will also receive good showers during the next 24 to 48 hours. Isolated heavy to very heavy showers are also possible.
