September 16, 2015 4:46 PM |

Monsoon in IndiaAndhra Pradesh will continue to witness Monsoon showers of varied intensity for next two to three days. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, moderate to heavy showers are expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. While light to moderate rain will occur over Rayalaseema.

The well-marked low pressure area, presently marked over Odisha, Chhattisgarh and adjoining Bay of Bengal has been affecting the weather of entire Andhra Pradesh.

The weather system will continue giving rain in the state for a couple of days more. With this spell of rain, there are bright chances that coastal Andhra Pradesh will see September ending with excess rains. While the other region of Rayalaseema will end with normal rains.

Entire Peninsular India including Andhra Pradesh has witnessed poor rains this Monsoon season. However, coastal Andhra Pradesh has always performed better than Rayalaseema. All thanks to the frequent weather systems developing in the Bay of Bengal.

The state has been witnessing good Monsoon showers since the beginning of September due to which the rainfall deficiency has gone down. As on September 15, coastal Andhra Pradesh recorded surplus rain of 18%. While Rayalaseema that was deficient by more than 30% is presently deficient by just 3%.
