These rainfall activities are attributed to the depression that has been persisting in proximity of the Odisha coast. The system is currently over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast around 190 km SSW of Paradip. The depression is expected to move in a northeastward direction off the Odisha coast during the next 24 hours, weakening into a well-marked low-pressure area.
