The state of Uttar Pradesh has been recording some very good rainfall activities with a few areas also witnessing three digit rainfall. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 AM on Tuesday, Bareilly recorded 129 mm of rains, Moradabad 99 mm, Kanpur 98 mm, Bahraich 71 mm, Aligarh 63 mm, and Lucknow 49 mm.
Now also, moderate to heavy rains are expected to be seen both today as well as tomorrow as the Monsoon trough continues to remain north of its normal position, close to the foothills.
Today, West Uttar Pradesh and Southwest Uttar Pradesh will be seeing intense rains including the cities of Hathras, Bijnor, Mathura, Bareilly, Aligarh, Moradabad, Meerut, Rampur, Badaiyun, and Shahjahanpur.
Tomorrow, rains will shift more eastward and will be seen in cities of Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Lakhimpur, Bahraich, Faizabad, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, and Sant Kabir Nagar. Thereafter, heavy rains pocket will shift and will be confined to the regions of Uttar Pradesh close to Nepal.
