More rains in offing for Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh

Since last two to three days, several parts of Madhya Pradesh have been receiving good rainfall activities. As on June 6, West Madhya Pradesh had recorded 55% of surplus rain and while East Madhya Pradesh had recorded deficient rainfall of 32%.

Since the last 24 hours, Madhya Pradesh wherein Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Rewa, Khandwa, Satna and Pachmarhi have been receiving good rainfall. Meanwhile, Indore is also experiencing good rainfall and thundershower activities.

As per Skymet Weathermen, these good pre- Monsoon showers are expected to continue over many parts of Madhya Pradesh during the next two to three days. These pre-Monsoon weather activities will significantly pace up and the weather conditions are likely to remain pleasant for the next few days.

However, these weather activities are most likely to occur during the afternoon or late evening hours. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Sagar recorded 34.8 mm of rainfall, Jabalpur 31.1 mm, Satna 28 mm, Rewa 22.6 mm, Pachmarhi 22 mm, Bhopal 4.9 mm, Khandwa 2.4 mm and Gwalior 0.4 mm.

The heatwave conditions have finally abated from all the parts of Madhya Pradesh and are not likely to make a comeback. Temperatures will also fall significantly and will give a sigh of relief from the scorching heat which had hit the entire Madhya Pradesh.

These on and off pre-Monsoon rains will continue to occur over several parts of Madhya Pradesh until June 12. The onset of Monsoon 2017 is expected to arrive over these areas around June 15.
