According to Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to the offshore trough running along the West Coastline.
At present, the offshore trough can be marked extending from South Gujarat to North Kerala coast. Due to this, rains would proceed along the West Coast for the most part of Coastal Gujarat, Konkan, and Coastal Karnataka for another 24 to 48 hours. Though, Mumbai rains may remain light with isolated moderate in some parts. In any case, rains over Coastal Kerala may witness a slight diminishment.
