The desert states of India, Gujarat and Rajasthan, have been reeling under dry and very warm weather conditions from past many days, so much so, that the day temperatures continued to settle around 40 degree-mark.
Presently, the western districts of Rajasthan, as well as Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat, are the hottest regions of the country. In fact, weathermen expect no change in the weather scenario for the coming days as well. Hot and dry weather with bright sunshine will continue to prevail over most districts of these regions.

To name few places that will witness similar weather conditions include Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jalore, Bhuj, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Porbandar and Amreli.

Thus, the residents will have to bear with unease and discomfort due to increasing temperatures and dryness for more days.
Despite clear and sunny days, morning and nights will remain cool and comfortable over most parts of Rajasthan as well as Gujarat.
Generally, the month of October is considered to be another summery month for the state of Gujarat as Southwest Monsoon withdraws from the region. During this period diagonal variation (difference between maximums and minimums) is highest over these two states.
Skymet Weather expects temperatures to mark a decreasing trend from November onward, paving way for winters.
