Pre-Monsoon rains have hit Bengaluru hard with the city not only witnessing some heavy spells with squally winds but also recording hailstorms in few parts. As a result, the weather conditions across the city have gone extremely pleasant.
In fact, the garden city of the country is gearing up for more showers today as well.
Bengaluru is one of the very few cities that have witnessed on and off rains during the entire month of May, with some good spells even occurring during the fag end of April. The recent rain and hailstorm lashing the city also resulted in uprooting trees and creating traffic woes.

During last 24 hours, other districts of Karnataka too observed a few light to moderate rainy spells. Districts like Mandya recorded 12.4 mm of rains, Hassan 7 mm and Chintamani witnessed 4 mm of spells.
As per Skymet Weather, the prevailing weather conditions can be attributed to a trough that is running from Bihar towards South Interior Karnataka across interior Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. With this system likely to persist for some more time, Bengaluru is most likely to continue witnessing rains for the next two days.
Not only this, the intensity of these showers is expected to intensify around May 26 or May 27. Hence, the cyber capital of the country will keep on witnessing pleasant weather conditions.
