After witnessing good rains in the last 48 hours, Bengaluru rains took a break and in the past day, the city did not record any spell of rain. In fact, rains have been occurring over the city consecutively from the last 3-4 days.

Though the state capital failed to record any rains in the past day, other districts of Karnataka had observed light to moderate with isolated heavy showers. In the span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Monday, Agumbe recorded three-digit rainfall to the tune of 105 mm, followed by Devanagere with 83 mm of rains.

During the similar time frame, Belgaum recorded 31.4 mm of rains, Kalaburgi 24.4 mm, Mangaluru 20.8 mm, and Chitradurga witnessed 15.2 mm of rains.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough is extending from Odisha to Kerala across Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka. Due to this, light to moderate rain is expected to continue over many parts of South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru for the next 3-4 days. The coastal belt of Karnataka is also likely to witness moderate rains for the next 3-4 days.
