Monsoon has not yet hit the state of Uttar Pradesh. In fact, the state also did not receive much showers during the pre-Monsoon period.
Since last few days, the weather of most parts of Uttar Pradesh has remained hot and dry. This could be attributed to the easterly winds that are blowing across the region increasing the moisture levels. So, in the wake of high temperature and moisture levels, the weather conditions across the state have become uneasy and uncomfortable.

As on June 27, East Uttar Pradesh is deficit by 54% while West Uttar Pradesh is deficient by 16%.
Although some areas of West Uttar Pradesh have managed to get good rains yesterday, however central and eastern districts of the state still remain dry.
Skymet Weather expects the trough of low pressure area running along North Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand to shift northwards over Uttar Pradesh and due to this, scattered rain and thundershowers are expected to commence over east and central parts as well.

So today and tomorrow, the weather conditions will change from hot and humid to comfortable in wake of rain and cloud cover. Also, the mercury level is likely to decrease. These rains will pave the way for onset of monsoon over Uttar Pradesh.
