The southwesterly monsoon winds once again look intensified along the West coast from Kerala to south konkan coast. The offshore trough extends from the Kerala to Karnataka coast. Due to this weather system, light to moderate rain will occur in coastal areas of these states. Monsoon rain will also occur over Mumbai during the next two days.
The southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea will also give rain over interiors of Maharashtra, Gujarat and southeast Rajasthan.
A low pressure area emerged in the Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast is set to bring a downpour in south Peninsula.
The axis of monsoon trough continues to persist in the Himalayan foothills. It will continue to fetch moisture from the Bay of Bengal to bring moderate to heavy rain from the foothills of east Uttar Pradesh to Sikkim and then Assam to Arunachal Pradesh across Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland.
