Rain in Madhya Pradesh

The Southwest Monsoon 2019 has made an onset in the southern districts of Madhya Pradesh. Yesterday, Monsoon reached Indore as well along with Surat and Mumbai.

The experts have to say that the rainfall activities would now recede from the Northwest plains of the country. However, the central parts of the country would continue to witness light to moderate rainfall activities for the next three to four days. Particularly, the western part of Madhya Pradesh would witness good rains. Presently, a trough is running from Northeast Rajasthan to Madhya Maharashtra across West Madhya Pradesh. This would help in giving rains over the western parts of Madhya Pradesh. Yet another Trough is running from East Uttar Pradesh to Rayalaseema across Chhattisgarh to East Madhya Pradesh. Looks like, the Northern parts of the state will witness dry weather. However, light rainfall activities with one or two moderate spells will be seen over the rest of Madhya Pradesh.

Places like Jabalpur, Ujjain, Bhopal, Ratlam, Hoshangabad, Khargone, Seoni and Mandla will see light rains with one or two moderate spells for the coming three to four days.

The northern districts of Madhya Pradesh like Shivpuri, Gwalior, Dati, Morena, and Sheopur will witness rains around June 30 or July 1 when the Southwest Monsoon would likely make some further progress.
