Monsoon rains to take a break in Uttarakhand

Monsoon showed its relentless form over the state of Uttarakhand during the last couple of weeks. The continuous mar of rain from the axis of Monsoon trough has brought the daily life to a standstill. At present the state of Uttarakhand has received 925.3 mm of rains against the normal rainfall of 852.2 mm of rains.

The axis of Monsoon trough is at present near the foothills and the Western Disturbance can be seen moving across Jammu and Kashmir. The Western Disturbance is behaving as an upper air cyclonic circulation.

Due the abatement of weather systems only light rain with few moderate spell can be expected over the state for the time being. Even with the light rain the sky will be mainly cloudy. Due to abatement of weather systems and cloud cover, the region will mainly have a comfortable weather.

The state of Uttarakhand is experiencing normal rainfall of 9% on the positive side.
