While the states of Central and parts of East India are witnessing extremely rainy weather, Gangetic West Bengal and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal have been praying for good showers from the last couple of days. However, some rains are paving towards West Bengal.
In fact, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal has become very hot and uncomfortable. Districts such as Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, and Coochbehar had recorded the mercury levels between 38°C-39°C. Such high temperatures humidity levels have led to an increase in the discomfort level as well. Normally, during this time, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal receives good rains but this year, the weather is almost dry since last many days.
Although light scattered rains are going on, these showers are not giving any relief from the prevailing humid weather conditions. On the contrary, it is enhancing the humidity and discomfort level.
