Active Monsoon would bring in more rains for Kota, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Alwar and Jaipur in the next couple of days.
Monsoon rains have continued to lash the state of Rajasthan, particularly the eastern and southern parts of the state. For instance, Chittorgarh and Jodhpur in a span of 24 hours from 8.30 am on Wednesday recorded 78 mm and 64 mm of rain, respectively. Phalodi also received 54 mm of rain during this period. The southern districts of Udaipur and Mount Abu also received moderate amounts of showers.
The northern districts remained almost dry.
According to Weathermen at Skymet, South Rajasthan would continue to receive moderate rains for another 24 hours. Thereafter, the intensity will reduce a little but another weather system would start affecting East and Southeast Rajasthan in the form of rains.
Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Alwar and Jaipur would receive good rain and thundershower activities until August 31.
Between September 1 and 3, the axis of Monsoon Trough would move further northwards and a Cyclonic Circulation would also form over Southwest Uttar Pradesh. The combined effect of these two systems would increase rains over the northern and northeastern districts of the state.
Dholpur, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Bharatpur, Churu, Bikaner etc would get to see good Monsoon showers during this period. Sri Ganganagar and Jaisalmer on the contrary, would receive light rains only.
Overall, we can say that next week would be good in terms of Monsoon rains for the state of Rajasthan.
