Gopalpur in Odisha witnessed moderate rain of 16 mm and Chanbali 15.4 mm of rain. Light rain was also recorded in Puri, Paradip, Balasore, Titlagarh, Cuttack, and Angul.

The Axis of Monsoon trough was extending across Chhattisgarh hence many parts of Chhattisgarh received light to moderate intensity rains with few heavy spells. Coastal parts of Odisha also witnessed light to moderate rains. As per Skymet weather, the axis of Monsoon is shifting to the north, therefore, we expect the weather to become almost dry over Chhattisgarh though isolated light rains may occur but the intensity of rains will be very less.

Coastal areas of Odisha are likely to receive few to light to moderate spells. However, rains over in parts of Odisha will be subdued now. The similar weather conditions will continue for another two to three days. It is anticipated that rains will once again start increasing by August 4. These rains will occur due to the cyclonic circulation which is expected to develop over Coastal Odisha. Weather across both the states is comfortable and temperatures are normal.
