Monsoon remains active over Coastal Karnataka and Konkan & Goa region, giving heavy to very rains over both the regions. Few places have also recorded extremely heavy showers as well.
While normal and subdued Monsoon conditions were witnessed over Kerala and Coastal Gujarat, respectively. Light showers were observed over most parts of these regions, with moderate rainfall over North Kerala.
As we proceed further, we expect rains to will increase over Konkan and Goa during the next 24 hours. According to weathermen, this change in weather can be attributed to the Monsoon surge which is expected to get activated over northern parts of the West Coast.
During this time, the region including Mumbai is likely to witness few heavy to extremely heavy showers Friday onwards. Monsoon rains are also likely to pick up pace over Coastal Gujarat.
Coastal Karnataka will continue with active to vigorous Monsoon conditions during the next 24 to 48 hours. While, Kerala will witness light to moderate showers only.
