Monsoon rains to pick up pace over Hyderabad

The city of Nizams, Hyderabad has been receiving light rains for the last many days. In fact, last when the state capital saw some rains were on July 29 to the tune of 6 mm.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough is extending from Chhattisgarh to Coastal Tamil Nadu across North of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh coast.

Due to this weather system, in the last 24 hours, coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh received a good amount of rains, while isolated places of Telangana witnessed light rains. However, Hyderabad settled with traces of rains.

But now, the weather activity is likely to pick a pace and it is anticipated that rainfall activities are likely to increase with the movement of the trough towards the west.

Scattered light rains will occur across many districts of Telangana including Hyderabad for the next 24 to 48 hours. Mainly dry and humid weather conditions had prevailed over the state which led to uneasiness. But with the rains making a comeback, temperatures are expected to decrease. The cloudy sky will prevail across the region and light westerly and north westerly winds will blow. The morning and night will remain pleasant.

As on August 6, Telangana is rain deficient by 14 percent. The rain deficiency may reduce the upcoming rainfall activities across the state including Hyderabad.
