With the onset of Southwest Monsoon over Gujarat, several parts of the state have been getting good rain and thundershowers.
The last 24 hours were also not very different across the state as numerous regions recorded moderate to heavy showers such as Surat recorded 37.4 mm of rainfall, followed by Okha 28 mm, Veraval 27 mm, Porbandar 22 mm, Dwarka 18 mm, Rajkot 16 mm, Deesa 10 mm, Naliya 8 mm and Ahmedabad 6 mm of showers.

These weather conditions can be accredited to a low pressure area that is persisting over Kutch region and also a trough is running from this system up to Assam. Therefore, with these weather systems, good rains are battering many areas of the state.
With these incessant showers, the hot and humid weather was replaced by pleasing conditions, giving the local that much needed respite.
As per Skymet Weather, now the system is likely to weaken and a cyclonic circulation is anticipated that will move slightly toward northeastwards.

As a result, rain and thundershowers will reduce over the Kutch region. Meanwhile, eastern districts of the state will continue to record moderate rains over many places.
For now, temperature will continue to settle below the normal level, paving way for comfortable and breezy conditions.
For the month of June, Gujrat region is rain surplus by 5 percent, while Saurashtra and Kutch region is rain deficit by 5 percent.
