Monsoon rains to pace up over Telangana and Hyderabad in next 2 days

From the past few days, Telangana including its capital city, Hyderabad have been witnessing light to moderate rainfall and heavy rains have evaded the region.

The last 24 hours also remained somewhat similar over Telangana and Hyderabad. While Hyderabad remained rain free, other districts of Telangana such as Bhadrachalam recorded a good 22 mm of rainfall and Ramagundam 6 mm of light rain.

Now, a cyclonic circulation has developed over South Odisha and adjacent areas. With this, weathermen at Skymet Weather expect light to moderate rains to continue at many places over Telangana during the next 24 hours. The weather will remain humid with day maximums settling in the range of 32-34 degrees, while minimums will hover around 23-25 degrees.

Light to moderate rain and thundershower is likely over Adilabad, Hyderabad, Khammam, Medak, Nalgonda, Warangal districts of Telangana during next 4 hours.

Thereafter, this weather system is likely to move over Telangana, resulting in increase of rains over many parts of the state. In fact, isolated heavy spells also cannot be ruled out. These good spell will continue thereon for at least next two days over the region.

Afterwards the rain belt will shift towards Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra, leading to decrease in rains over Telangana and the City of Nizams, Hyderabad.

As of August 23, Telangana is rain deficit by 12%, whereas Hyderabad has received 72.6 mm of rains as against the monthly average of 207 mm.
