The IT city of India,Bengaluruhas recorded light spells of rain in the past 24 hours. Since the last few days, the city has recorded either traces or light intensity showers. With this, the weather remains comfortable but humidity persists.

In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, the garden city has recorded rains to the tune of 17 mm. As of today, light rains have already started over the Karnataka city and it is expected to continue for a few hours.
Other areas of Karnataka that recorded good amount of Monsoon rains during the past 24 hours include Mangaluru 70 mm, Honnavar 67 mm, Madikeri 34 mm, Karwar 19 mm, Davanagere 16 mm, Hassan 14 mm, Bellary 11 mm and Haveri 11 mm.
As per Skymet Weather, the reason behind these rains can be given to a cyclonic circulation which is seen over North Karnataka Coast. Along with this, there are two troughs, one is running along the West Coast and another extends from west-central Bay of Bengal to Tamil Nadu Coast.
Therefore, weathermen expect light to moderate rains to continue for another 24 to 48 hours. However, these rains will not be continuous and will be of short duration and the sky will remain cloudy to partly cloudy over the city. The intensity of rains may reduce again over Bengaluru after 48 hours.

Morning and nights will remain pleasant, with comfortable but humid days. Maximum temperatures will settle around 26-28 degrees and minimums will hover near 19-20 degrees.
As on September 16, Bengaluru has received 363.7 mm of rainfall as against its monthly mean of 212.8 mm. With this, it is pretty clear that the cyber city of India has already exceeded its monthly mean that too with a good difference.
