During the Southwest Monsoon season, many Monsoon systems come up both in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. However, out of the two, it’s the Bay which is more active and hosts quite a number of weather systems.
Just a few days ago, simultaneous weather systems had come up in the Bay of Bengal, one of which had also intensified into a depression. This system had resulted in torrential rains over the state of Madhya Pradesh resulting in flooding over many parts of the state.
Now, in about 48-72 hours, a fresh cyclonic circulation is expected to form in the Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Coast. Thereafter, this system will move inland resulting in some weather activity over central parts of the country.
The East Coast will once again become active due to this weather system. So much so that rainfall activity will pick up pace over several areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and some other parts of East India.
Rains are also expected to pick up pace over central parts of the country including Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and a few areas in Interior Peninsular India such as Telangana and a few adjoining areas. Parts of Maharashtra including the sub division of Vidarbha will also see some good Monsoon rains.
