The arrival of Southwest Monsoon abated the warm weather conditions from the state of Andhra Pradesh. However, these showers were more widespread along the coastal parts than the interior regions. Since the span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Kakinada recorded 45.2 mm of rainfall, followed by Nellore at 13.2 mm, Kalingapatnam 12 mm, Anantapur 4.6 mm, Tirupathi 3.9 mm, Kurnool 3.4 mm, Visakhapatnam 1.1 mm, Ongole 0.6 mm and Machilipatnam 0.4 mm.

According to Skymet Weather, a low pressure area is seen persisting over North-Northwest of the Bay of Bengal off North Coastal Odisha. This weather system is likely to further intensify and may lead to a development of an associative upper air cyclonic circulation. Due to this, intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershower activities will continue to occur over northern parts of Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 to 36 hours.

While intense clouding over Andhra Pradesh cannot be ruled out. Meanwhile, the day temperatures will decrease and the humidity over this region is likely to increase during the next two to three days.
