The state of Telangana is running rain deficient at present. As on July 25, its deficient by a figure of 38%. However, during the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains have lashed the state. This has surely brought in some hope as these rains might bring down the rain deficiency of Telangana to some extent.
These rains were due to the influence of a Cyclonic Circulation which was persisting over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. This is when many parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh also managed to receive heavy rains.
Now, we expect these rains to continue over many parts of Telangana today as well. The intensity will remain mainly moderate to heavy. Thereafter as well, scattered light to moderate rains will continue over eastern and northern districts of the state.
However, after a span of 24 hours, the intensity might go down.
Some northern districts of the state, as well as the regions adjacent to Vidarbha, like that of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Kumurambheem and Mancherial might get on and off good rains throughout the week.
On a good note, despite the decrease in rain intensity, the state of Telangana will not go absolutely dry. The weather is expected to remain pleasant in the next one week.
