Monsoon rains are all set to once again return to Rajasthan, particularly over northwestern parts of the state. All thanks to the Monsoon trough running through the state. In wake of this, we can expect rains over many places like Jaipur, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner Jhunjhunu, and Alwar on Monday afternoon.

According to Skymet Weather, the axis of Monsoon trough is now running through Sri Ganganagar, Pilani, Agra, Gorakhpur, Muzzafarpur, Cooch Behar and then till Nagaland.

With this, there has been lot of moisture incursion over the region and as the temperatures increased, it resulted in formation of convective clouds. We can now expect isolated light to moderate rains with intense spells over parts of Rajasthan till July 23. However, rains would be patchy in nature.

Thereafter, Monsoon would pick up pace and we can expect moderate to heavy rains over East Rajasthan from July 24-26. These rains would be on account of the oscillation of Monsoon trough towards north. Besides this, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over Delhi around July 25. A north-south trough would is also expected to run from Delhi to Gujarat across Rajasthan.

All these systems would lead to increase in weather activity across Rajasthan. July 26 onwards, rains of varying intensity would also cover most parts of the state.
