Monsoon has been active Telangana, giving good rain over the several parts of the state including capital city of Hyderabad. In span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, city has recorded moderate showers of 34 mm.

According to Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation that was marked over Vidarbha and adjoining areas. A trough is also extending from the system up to South Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Telangana.

Now with the system further shifting away, the intensity of rains is now all set to reduce significantly. Weathermen predict that the Monsoon rains are now expected to take but the dry spell will not last for very long.

Another spell of rains is likely to approach the state including Hyderabad in span of next 4-5 days. As per Skymet Weather, a fresh cyclonic circulation has developed in west-central Bay of Bengal. The system is likely to move westwards and cross the coast during the next few days, resulting in rains over Telangana from September 21.

Hyderabad has been recording on and off light to moderate rains since last one week. So far, the city has recorded 218.5 mm of rains, surpassing its monthly surplus rains of 132.9 mm.
