In the last couple of days, Andhra Pradesh has been witnessing good Monsoon rains, and it seems like the trend of these rainfall is most likely to not go away.
At present, the cyclonic circulation over Andhra Pradesh coast and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal and South Odisha coast. This weather system has almost remained stationary over the region. And the associated cyclonic circulation from this system extends up to 7.6kms above sea level and is tilting with height south-westwards.
But with a very slow pace, the system is likely to move in the south-west direction. And due to slow movement of the weather system fairly widespread rainfall has occurred over Andhra Pradesh. The rainfall remained confined to the coastal belt and Telangana.
The rainfall will continue for next 12 to 24 hours over the region with moderate intensity at many places and will gradually shift towards the interior parts of the country.
In the last 21 hours, Machilipatnam has received 29 mm of rainfall; Visakhapatnam has received 16 mm of rainfall. And good rain was received over Bapatla and adjoining areas. Hyderabad in Telangana has received 67 mm of rains.
Mostly cloudy to overcast sky and low temp will be observed over the area.
This rainfall activity will start decreasing over the region after 24 hours.
