The state of Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing active Monsoon conditions. On Wednesday, widespread moderate rains have been observed over Uttar Pradesh.
Rain in Uttar Pradesh can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation seen over eastern parts of the state. Moreover, the western arm of the Monsoon trough is also seen running along the foothills of Himalayas. The eastern end of this Monsoon trough is seen passing through Bareilly and Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, centre of the deep depression, Midnapore and thence southeastwards to Northeast Bay of Bengal.
The deep depression lying over Jharkhand is also feeding moisture, enhancing rains over Uttar Pradesh.
Here’s a look at the rainfall figures in the state during last 24 hours:
Skymet Weather predicts bad weather conditions over Uttar Pradesh for the next couple of days as multiple weather systems are affecting the state at present. During next 24 hours, the deep depression will weaken but continue to affect weather in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
